![]() ![]() Moretz went on social media Wednesday to address criticism that marketing for the animated film “Red Shoes and the 7 Dwarfs” - an updated tweak on the Snow White story, with Moretz as the voice of the classic fairy-tale character - engages in body-shaming. Now she’s speaking out against the marketing campaign behind one of her own projects. ![]() Who but with stoners with a non-robotic talking dog and a douche in a neckerchief.Actress Chloë Grace Moretz has long been known as a strong voice when it comes to issues of feminism, whether it’s over-sexualization of female characters or equal pay for women. But looking back on it, I really don't think I could ever enjoy a version of Scooby-Doo where the monsters were real. The idea that the monsters were real always occurred at the beginning but our perspectives changed by the end, only to start from square one the next week. The fact that the monsters were never real in the end was just incidental. ![]() I guess it worked because, as kids, we never really cared and totally bought into it. It just seems incredibly silly to escalate it to that level. Or maybe I'm the only one that cares that Scooby-Doo is supposed to be a show about them unmasking jerks in costumes and not about actual monsters. Whenever they make a movie, the monster is "real", as if to say, "This time, it's serious.you know, for the movie!", but that's really old at this point. What I noticed, that pisses me off to no end, is how the actual cartoon was about guys in masks and costumes. ![]()
